The Singaporean delegation was headed by K. Shanmugam, Minister for Home Affairs and Law, alongside Dr. Mohamad Maliki Osman, Second Minister for Foreign Affairs.
Both parties acknowledged the progress achieved in recent years and expressed their commitment to leveraging these accomplishments to strengthen collaborative efforts.
Discussions focused on ways to advance mutual interests, particularly in areas such as advanced technology, renewable energy, food and water security, the digital economy, maritime security, and cybersecurity.
The importance of innovation and support for collaborative projects was emphasized, especially in green hydrogen and solar energy sectors. Opportunities in artificial intelligence (AI) and sustainable smart city initiatives were also explored.
The delegations reviewed both regional and international developments, highlighting the necessity of enhancing dialogue and diplomacy to foster security and stability while coordinating responses to global issues and shared challenges.
At the conclusion of the discussions, both sides reaffirmed the significance of maintaining strategic dialogue as a vital tool for improving political and security coordination, as well as pursuing economic and technical collaboration.
They recognized the essential role of partnerships between public and private sectors in achieving sustainable development objectives.
Additionally, both parties expressed their enthusiasm for cultural exchange as a means to strengthen friendly relations, uncover new opportunities, and implement joint cooperation initiatives that align with their shared goals.
The strategic dialogue between Oman and Singapore arises from both nations' commitment to enhance the results of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik's visit to Singapore in December 2023, marking the beginning of a new phase in bilateral collaboration.
