Riyadh: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs, has officially signed an agreement regarding the arrangements for the Hajj pilgrimage season of 1446 AH.
This agreement, which aims to strengthen collaboration between the two parties to better serve Omani pilgrims, was finalized during the Hajj Conference and Exhibition hosted by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia, as part of the preparations for this year's pilgrimage.
The signing was conducted by Dr. Mohammed Said Al Maamari, the Minister of Endowments and Religious Affairs, and Dr. Tawfiq Fawzan Al-Rabiah, who represented the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Key provisions of the agreement include:
- A total of 14,000 pilgrims from Oman will participate in Hajj.
- The processing of Omani pilgrims' data will occur through the “Nusuk platform” prior to the 14th of Shaaban 1446 AH.
- Pilgrims traveling by air will arrive and depart from "King Abdulaziz International Airport" in Jeddah and "Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman International Airport" in Medina.
- Those traveling by land will use the border checkpoints at Al Rub’ al-Khali and Al Bat’ha.
Additionally, the agreement emphasizes the importance of adhering to all regulations governing Hajj activities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as outlined in the “Nusuk” platform. This includes ensuring that pilgrims meet all travel requirements and timelines. It also mandates that the relevant Saudi authorities implement service packages according to the agreed standards and costs.
