Oman Participates In Meeting On Convention For Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage

Asunción: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, participated in the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Convention on Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage on Wednesday. This session is currently taking place in Asunción, Paraguay, and will continue until December 7, 2024.

Leading the Omani delegation is Sayyid Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi, who serves as the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture.

The agenda for the meeting includes discussions on the international committee's efforts in preserving and documenting intangible cultural heritage, as well as evaluating nominations for registration on the Convention's lists.
