Abu Dhabi: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology of the Sultanate of Oman participated in the 27th session of the Arab Telecommunications and Information Council of Ministers (ATICM) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) today.
Leading the delegation from Oman was Dr. Ahmed Hilal Al Busaidi, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Arab Emirates.
During his speech at the event, Al Busaidi emphasized Oman's commitment to the advancement of the communications and information technology sector. He specifically highlighted the Digital Economy Programme and the government's strategies for economic diversification as key initiatives in this regard.
The attendees of the conference engaged in fruitful discussions on a range of important topics, such as the Arab cybersecurity system and the applications of artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, the meeting addressed the challenges faced by the Palestinian communications sector due to the ongoing occupation and aggression, underscoring the need for support and solutions in this critical area.
