Oman Participates In GCC Financial Authorities Meeting

Kuwait: Today, the Sultanate of Oman took part in the 30th meeting of the Committee of Heads of Financial Market Authorities (or their equivalents) from the GCC nations, which convened in the State of Kuwait.

The agenda included discussions on various topics aimed at improving integration within GCC financial markets. This encompassed follow-ups on initiatives put forth by the GCC Capital Markets Committee, as well as recommendations from technical working groups focused on investment awareness, training, and the strategic integration of financial markets among member states.

Participants also reviewed the latest updates regarding cross-registration regulations and the current state of GCC capital markets, along with addressing emerging issues.

Oman's involvement underscores its dedication to enhancing regional collaboration and sharing expertise among financial market regulatory bodies, thereby fostering a better investment environment and promoting financial integration across GCC countries.
