Oman Participates In 2nd Ministerial Meeting For Strategic Dialogue Between GCC And Central Asian Countries

Tashkent: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman participated in the second Ministerial Meeting for the Strategic Dialogue between the GCC and Central Asian Countries, which took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Leading the delegation from the Sultanate of Oman was Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister.

The objective of the meeting was to strengthen the relations between the two sides and facilitate discussions on various issues of mutual interest that benefit both the GCC and Central Asian nations.

During the event, Sayyid Badr held separate meetings with the foreign ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, President Shavkat Mirziyanyev of the Republic of Uzbekistan received Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister of Oman, in the context of the GCC-Central Asian Countries' 2nd Ministerial Meeting. Sayyid Badr led the delegation from the Sultanate of Oman.

Sayyid Badr conveyed the warm greetings and well wishes of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to President Shavkat Mirziyanyev, along with His Majesty's hopes for progress and prosperity for the friendly people of Uzbekistan.

In response, President Shavkat Mirziyanyev expressed his gratitude and sincere greetings to His Majesty the Sultan and the Omani people. He also expressed his desire for further growth in the bilateral relations between the two friendly nations.

As part of the visit, Sayyid Badr took a brief tour of some historical Islamic monuments in the Samarkand region of Uzbekistan and held a meeting with the Governor of the region.
