The Hague: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the 29th meeting of the Conference of State Parties to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) that is taking place in The Hague.
The Omani delegation is led by Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Salim Al Harthy, who serves as the Sultanate of Oman's Ambassador to the Netherlands and its Permanent Representative to the OPCW, alongside Saleh Yahya Al Maskari, the Director of the Department of Global Affairs at the Foreign Ministry.
Oman is set to make a statement regarding its request for the OPCW to investigate the potential use of chemical weapons by Israel during its violent conflict with Palestine and Lebanon. This statement will also emphasize the importance of the OPCW's role in ensuring the agreement's objectives are met and in fostering peaceful relations among member states.
