Cairo: The 15th session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) in Cairo saw the participation of the Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Social Development.
Dr. Laila Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development, led Oman's delegation during the event.
The main focus of the meeting was to address the issue of increasing inequalities resulting from various crises in certain countries and specific population segments in the Arab region. Discussions also revolved around finding solutions to common challenges, monitoring the progress made in the field of social development, and reviewing the recommendations put forth by the ESCWA committee during its previous session.
