Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Maldives engaged in a session of political discussions.
During this meeting, both parties examined the longstanding relationship between their nations. They emphasized their mutual desire to strengthen cooperation in the areas of diplomacy, economy, and tourism, aiming to benefit both countries.
The Omani delegation was led by Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, while Dr. Abdullah Khaleel, the Maldivian Minister of Foreign Affairs, represented his country.
Additionally, the two ministers formalized their commitment by signing a memorandum of understanding focused on political consultations between their respective foreign ministries. This agreement signifies their dedication to enhancing bilateral coordination and collaborative efforts.
The session also included the participation of Sheikh Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Hosni, Head of the Asia and Pacific Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with several officials from both nations.
