Muscat: On Monday, the Sultanate of Oman joined the global community in observing World Creativity and Innovation Day, celebrated annually on April 21.
Oman's involvement in this event underscores its commitment to fostering a culture of innovation within various state institutions, aligning with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
The Ministry of Labour organized a celebration in the Muscat Governorate, presided over by Sayyid Salim Musallam Al Busaidi, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development.
The Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit announced the introduction of two national initiatives: "National Competencies in Corporate Innovation" and "Certified Innovation Professional."
These initiatives aim to enhance the skills of Omani professionals in the innovation sector while also strengthening institutional capabilities to adapt to future developments and improve government competitiveness.
The event featured a visual presentation titled "Institutional Innovation and the Management of Change," showcasing the latest trends and practices that support innovation in government work environments.
Additionally, a dialogue session named "Institutional Innovation: The Path to Sustainable Government Excellence" was held, involving stakeholders and experts who discussed strategies to boost institutional innovation and examined opportunities for enhancing government performance.
This event serves as a platform to emphasize the significance of investing in human capital and establishing a cohesive national system that transforms ideas into sustainable solutions, thereby advancing the country's development objectives.
