Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) convened a meeting on Monday, which included members of the Omani-Iranian Business Council alongside the leaders of various sectoral committees within the chamber.
During the meeting, participants focused on initiatives aimed at enhancing economic and investment ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Islamic Republic of Iran. They also examined strategies to improve trade relations and foster collaboration in vital economic sectors, particularly in logistics services.
The discussion included a review of investment opportunities present in both nations and the strategies to maximize mutual benefits from these prospects to fulfill shared objectives. Additionally, the importance of strengthening public-private partnerships was highlighted as a means to implement economic projects that would be advantageous for both Oman and Iran.
Faisal Abdullah Al Rowas, Chairman of OCCI, emphasized the necessity of ongoing collaboration between the two nations to realize their economic goals. He noted that such meetings are essential for the exchange of ideas, advancing joint initiatives, and promoting constructive dialogue to enhance economic relations.
The meeting was also attended by Dr. Saleh Said Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry.
