Salalah: The Golden Residency Program for Investors seeks to cement Oman's status as a desirable location for long-term investment. It provides renewable ten-year residency for investors and their families, ensuring stability and prosperity in a safe environment.
Pathways to residency include owning property in integrated tourism complexes, establishing a business, purchasing government bonds or stocks, and making bank deposits. It also involves establishing enterprises that give 50 work opportunities for citizens, as well as nomination by foreign corporations for their partners and key personnel.
The Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion hosted a workshop called Sustainable Business Environment at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah today.
The ceremony was held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Marwan bin Turki Al Said, Governor of Dhofar, and in the presence of Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion.
Some ministers, high government officials, dignitaries, and investors from the public and private sectors attended.
The event saw the release of three developmental schemes that indicate a significant shift in Oman's investment environment: the Golden Residency Program for Investors, the Distinguished Companies Initiative and the service for transferring commercial registry ownership through electronic attestation on the Oman Business Portal. Furthermore, strategic cooperation agreements for the building industry were signed.
