Oman Equestrian Federation Announces Traditional Horse Sports Winners

Muscat: The Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation has unveiled the outcomes of the venerable horse sports competition, Al Ardha, for the seasons 2022 and 2023, alongside other annual events the Federation is eager to organize. This announcement took place during a ceremony today at the Oman Olympic Academy Hall, presided over by Sayyid Mundhir bin Saif Al Busaidi, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation.

The 2022/2023 season saw the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali emerge as the inaugural champions, securing the first position, followed by the Wilayat of Bahla in second place, and the Wilayat of Al Kamil and Al Wafi in third place. In the 2023/2024 season, the Wilayat of Al Qabil clinched the top spot, with the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Hassan securing second place, and the Wilayat of Bidiya taking third place.

Al Ardha, a traditional horse sports competition, stands as a testament to the unique sporting heritage of the Sultanate of Oman, garnering significant interest. The Oman Equestrian and Racing Federation has demonstrated its commitment to this interest by establishing numerous Al Ardha running events in collaboration with equestrian clubs and committees across the governorates and wilayats of the Sultanate of Oman.
