Muscat: Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, welcomed Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration of the Arab Republic of Egypt, for a meeting today.
The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade and investment. Both parties emphasized the need to activate the Oman-Egypt Businessmen Council as a key platform for strengthening economic relations.
Additionally, the ministers explored strategies to increase trade exchange between the two nations by diversifying the range of exported and imported goods, thereby creating broader opportunities across various economic sectors.
They also examined ways to boost joint investments and encouraged private sector entities in both countries to seek out promising investment prospects.
The meeting highlighted the significance of promoting logistical integration, including the development of maritime routes between Oman and Egypt, along with the provision of incentives and support.
Attending the meeting were Dr. Saleh Said Masan, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion for Commerce and Industry, Khalid Mohammed Abdul Halim Radi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Oman, and several officials from both sides.
