Muscat: On Monday, the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Cuba convened in Muscat for their inaugural round of political consultations.
The Omani delegation was led by Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, while the Cuban side was chaired by Gerardo Peñalver, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation and strengthening existing relations. Both nations expressed a strong commitment to advancing collaboration across various sectors. Additionally, a range of regional and international issues was addressed during the session.
Attendees included Vladimir Andres Gonzalez, the Cuban Ambassador to Oman, and Dr. Hanan Ibrahim Al Shihi, the Head of the America Department at the Foreign Ministry, along with several officials from both delegations.
