Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, has organized the "Oman Conference on Generative Artificial Intelligence," which commenced on Wednesday, under the auspices of the theme "Future of Smart Economy 2024."
This conference, in partnership with SAS Media Company, is being hosted at the prestigious Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Over the span of two days, the event will feature a diverse panel of both local and international experts and specialists, who will engage in discussions on the pivotal role of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in the advancement of the smart economy within the Sultanate of Oman.
The proceedings were conducted under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources.
The conference agenda was meticulously structured to include three substantive discussion sessions. The inaugural session explored the potential of generative artificial intelligence as a catalyst for future development.
The subsequent discussion focused on the implications of quantum computing on the landscape of artificial intelligence technologies.
The third session delved into the evolving dynamics of business models in the age of artificial intelligence.
Furthermore, the conference was graced by the unveiling of a technical exhibition, which showcased the innovative products and smart solutions developed by local technical companies.
In addition, the conference provided an opportunity for the celebration of the winners of a contest titled "Engineer it with Artificial Intelligence," highlighting their contributions and achievements in the field.
