Muscat: On Monday, the second edition of the "Oman Civil Defence and Ambulance Conference and Exhibition" commenced. The two-day event, titled "Security and Safety of Establishments," delved into the latest studies and research in the realm of security and safety for establishments.
Under the auspices of Lt. Gen. Hassan Mohsin Al Shuraiqi, Inspector General of Police and Customs, the opening ceremony took place. The conference is organized by the Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (ACDA) in collaboration with strategic partners, institutions, and companies.
One of the highlights of the conference was a presentation showcasing innovative equipment, services, and technologies employed in civil defence and ambulance services.
The primary objective of this event is to reduce the occurrence of accidents and risks to public safety, ultimately saving lives and protecting properties.
Furthermore, the conference features three workshops that focus on the following topics: "First aids taught by life skills teachers at educational institutions," "security and safety measures to be applied by school bus drivers," and "safety procedures to be maintained by those interested in adventure tourism."
