Oman And Belarus Sign Agreement To Establish Joint Committee

Minsk: The Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus signed an agreement in Minsk, the Belarusian capital, today to form a joint committee charged with increasing cooperation between the two countries in numerous fields.

The signing event was attended by HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports, and Youth, and Viktor Alexandrovich Lukashenko, President of the Belarusian Olympic Committee and Special Envoy of the President of Belarus to the GCC states.

Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority (OIA), signed the deal on behalf of the Sultanate of Oman government, while Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed on behalf of the Belarusian government.

Hamoud bin Salim Al Tuwaih, the Sultanate of Oman's Ambassador to the Russian Federation and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus, as well as some Belarusian authorities, attended the signing ceremony.
