Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) convened the 59th meeting of the Executive Leaderships Committee of the GCC Federation of Chambers today.
Taking place in Muscat, the meeting focused on digital initiatives and reviewed the annual financial report of the Federation’s Secretariat General for the year 2024.
Chaired by Zakaria Abdullah Al Saadi, CEO of the OCCI, the meeting was attended by distinguished executive leaders from various GCC chambers of commerce.
Participants examined the new visual identity concepts for the GCC Federation of Chambers and its digital platforms. The discussions underscored the member states' commitment to development and innovation, aimed at enhancing the collective economic interests of the GCC.
Additionally, the meeting reviewed a comparative report on revenue and expenditures submitted by the Secretariat General of the GCC Federation of Chambers.
The agenda also included discussions on the role of GCC chambers in fostering economic integration among member states, strategies to enhance the capabilities of GCC chambers to support the regional economy, and innovative approaches to engage the GCC business community.
During the meeting, members of the GCC Executive Leaderships Committee visited the "Invest Oman Lounge," where they were briefed on the services available to investors and the investment opportunities in the Sultanate of Oman.
Furthermore, the GCC delegation toured Khazaen Economic City in the Wilayat of Barka, located in the South Al Batinah Governorate, to explore the incentives offered to investors, including tax exemptions and the possibility of foreign ownership of businesses in Oman.
