No Monkey Pox Case Detected In Oman

Muscat: The Ministry of Health has affirmed that there have been no reported cases of monkeypox within the Sultanate of Oman. It has issued a call to the populace and residents to remain vigilant and to rely on official news outlets for updates.

Represented by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention and the Emergency Management Centre, the Ministry is diligently monitoring developments related to the monkeypox virus following the World Health Organization's declaration of 'monkeypox' as a public health emergency.

The Ministry has also confirmed the presence of the requisite infrastructure for testing and diagnosing the disease, alongside its ongoing collaboration with the World Health Organization and other international entities dedicated to the surveillance of infectious diseases.
