NCSI Signs Memorandum Of Cooperation In Fields Of Training And Research

Muscat: On Thursday, the National Center for Statistics and Information (NCSI) inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Modern College of Business and Science (MCBS) in Muscat. The MoC aspires to expand academic training and scholarly research.

According to the agreement, the two countries will work together to expand practical training opportunities for college students, offer educational services tailored to both parties' needs, and conduct research projects.

The MoC also intends to broaden the use of innovative solutions in statistical and information technologies, as well as establish training programs to improve the capabilities of national human resources.

Dr. Khalifa Abdullah Al Barwani, CEO of the NCSI, and Dr. Muneer Mohammed Al Maskari, CEO of the MCBS, signed the MoU.

Al Barwani stated that MoC confirms the two parties' intention to create a conducive environment for innovation and research in the Sultanate of Oman. He stated that collaborating with the MCBS marks a significant step in developing a new generation of national professionals capable of contributing to the development of an integrated knowledge system that will enable databased decision-making.

Al Barwani stated that the MoC also promotes attempts to build statistical work in the Sultanate of Oman by exchanging knowledge and resources. He said that scholarly research is an essential basis of economic and social progress, as well as an important component in achieving sustainable development.
