Muscat: On Wednesday, the Ministry of Education hosted the National Student Research Forum for the GLOBE Environmental Programme 2025.
The event attracted over 60 students, both male and female, along with 30 teachers from various educational directorates across Oman’s governorates.
The forum's purpose was to highlight the scientific research conducted by students from schools that reached the final stage at the national level.
These research projects play a crucial role in addressing and assessing environmental challenges, evaluated by a specialized scientific judging panel, while also enhancing awareness among students and teachers regarding the significance of environmental issues and the application of modern scientific methods to tackle them.
The forum aims to inspire students to engage in scientific research across various environmental topics, including climate change, water quality, and biodiversity conservation, encouraging them to refine their research projects and achieve greater scientific milestones in the future.
During the event, the top research projects from the competition were recognized, promoting environmental education in Omani schools and equipping youth to become leaders in environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
