Dubai: According to the ICC's official website, Nat Sciver-Brunt of England has been rewarded for her strong performance against India and has reclaimed the No. 1 spot in the ODI batter rankings.
Sciver-Brunt regained the top spot for the first time in 2025, thanks to a series-high 160 runs in three matches at home against India, with her innings of 98 in the final match of the series standing out.
The England captain narrowly missed out on his tenth ODI century of the match as India clinched a 2-1 series victory over her team at Chester-le-Street, but he regained the No. 1 position thanks to a 105-ball innings in the unsuccessful run chase.
SciverBrunt has regained the top rank in 2025, making it the first time the 32-year-old has held the position. In July 2023, he was named ODI batter No. 1 and has since remained in the top five, trailing the likes of South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt and India's Smriti Mandhana.
Mandhana fell one place to second after scoring 115 runs in three games against England, while India colleagues Harmanpreet Kaur (up 10 places to 11th) and Jemimah Rodrigues (up two places to 13th) gained some ground after strong performances in the series.
Following the first two matches of Ireland's ODI series at home against Zimbabwe, there is also some movement for a number of Ireland players, with star allrounder Orla Prendergast leading the way in all three ranking categories.
Prendergast climbs 12 spots to equal 22nd among ODI batters after an undefeated 67 in the second match of the series in Belfast, and she also rises 10 places to 33rd among ODI bowlers thanks to a strong performance in the same match against Zimbabwe.
Following a two-wicket haul in the series opener against Zimbabwe, Ireland bowler Arlene Kelly (up four spots to equal 30th) gains ground for ODI bowlers, while England spinner Sophie Ecclestone and Australia allrounder Ash Gardner remain in the top two spots on the ODI bowler rankings.
Prendergast also moved up three slots to tenth among ODI all-rounders, which is topped by Gardner, while Ireland captain Gaby Lewis rose four places to 14th on the list for T20I batsmen after scoring two half-centuries against Zimbabwe in Dublin.
