Muscat To Host Next Round Of US-Iran Talks

Muscat: On Saturday, Iran and the United States reached an agreement to conduct another round of discussions in Muscat, as reported by the Oman News Agency.

An official from Oman’s Foreign Ministry stated that the meetings held today in Rome between Iranian Foreign Minister Dr. Abbas Araghchi and U.S. Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff, facilitated by Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, led to a consensus to advance to the next stage of negotiations.

The objective of these discussions is to establish a fair, enduring, and binding agreement that guarantees Iran's complete disarmament of nuclear weapons while fully lifting sanctions, and simultaneously upholding its right to pursue nuclear energy for peaceful applications.

The spokesperson emphasized that ongoing dialogue and transparent communication are essential for achieving a credible understanding and agreement that benefits all parties involved, both regionally and internationally.

It was also confirmed that the upcoming round of negotiations will take place in Muscat in the near future.
