Muscat: The Muscat Municipality has finalized a contract with Saud bin Hilal Al Sabri LLC, encompassing the lease of municipal property to establish a distinctive park adorned with public and commercial facilities, alongside the Diwaniya Omani Sweets Factory within the Al Mawaleh South district of the Seeb Wilayat.
This official ceremony, conducted on Darsait, featured the ratification of the contract by Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Humaidi, the incumbent Chairman of the Muscat Municipality, and Saud bin Hilal Al Sabri, the proprietor of the Diwaniya Omani Sweets venture.
The contract delineates that Saud bin Hilal Al Sabri LLC will be entitled to lease land within the Al Mawaleh South vicinity, spanning a total area of 31,182 square meters, for a period spanning 20 years. This lease agreement is set to facilitate the construction of a public park, featuring an array of amenities, including pathways for walking and cycling, recreational areas for children, expansive green zones, sports courts, facilities for table tennis, an amphitheatre, spaces for events, and amenities operated by small and medium enterprises, alongside functional services such as restroom facilities, car parking, and prayer areas.
Moreover, a segment of the project will be designated for the launch of the Diwaniya Omani Sweets Factory, which will incorporate an area visible to the public street. This facility will include a visitor experience center, offering patrons a unique opportunity to explore the traditional methods of Omani sweets production and to learn about the components used.
In his remarks, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Humaidi highlighted the Muscat Municipality's dedication to leveraging its resources for societal gains, emphasizing the project's role as a benchmark for constructive collaborations between governmental and private sectors.
