Muscat: In collaboration with the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, the Muscat Governorate has announced the organization of a Media Day on Wednesday, July 24, 2024. This event is dedicated to promoting and highlighting the “Sports Spark” sporting event, a summer initiative aimed at encouraging participation from children, youth, and families in sports activities.
The Media Day will feature a comprehensive schedule of activities, surprises, and exciting competitions. It is scheduled to begin on Thursday at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Center and will run for a span of 30 days, concluding on August 24, 2024.
This occasion presents an exclusive opportunity for media professionals to engage with an elite group of individuals representing various local media outlets, radio, and television stations. The presence of representatives from the Muscat Governorate, acting as the event's organizers alongside strategic partners, underscores the importance of the occasion in fostering innovative approaches to the effective utilization of summer sports among the youth.
The agenda of the Media Day will encompass an introduction to the event and its objectives, visits to specific venues for activities, and involvement of media professionals in specialized and enjoyable competitions. Furthermore, the event will feature a mini media tournament that includes a range of sports activities.
The “Sports Spark” event is designed to provide athletes and coaches with the opportunity to meet renowned professionals. The facilities are open to the public from 2:00 pm until midnight. Moreover, two special days dedicated to women, August 3 and 17, have been scheduled as part of the event for August, providing further opportunities for engagement.
