Mohammed Bin Mahfoodh Alardhi Named Times ‘Business Leader Of The Year’

Muscat: Mohammed bin Mahfoodh Alardhi, the esteemed Executive Chairman of Investcorp, was recently honored with the prestigious title of ‘Business Leader of the Year’ at the recently concluded Times Business Leadership Summit at The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat.

Under Alardhi’s visionary leadership, Investcorp has experienced remarkable growth, increasing its assets under management from US$10 billion to US$53 billion over a span of nine years. This expansion has been accompanied by a diversification of asset classes and a significant expansion of the company’s global footprint.

Alardhi also holds the position of Chairman of the Muscat Stock Exchange and is a member of several boards.

Retiring as Air Vice Marshal, Alardhi stands as the youngest and longest-serving Chief of the Royal Oman Air Force. His distinguished service was recognized with the “Order of Oman” by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said.

Alardhi is also a part of several esteemed boards, including the International Advisory Board of The Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C., the Eisenhower Fellowship in Philadelphia, The World Economic Forum’s Community of Chairpersons, the Harvard Kennedy School Dean’s Council, the Harvard Center for Public Leadership, and the Global Advisory Council of the Wilson Centre.

In addition to his distinguished career, Alardhi has authored three books, with his most recent publication, “Connecting to the Future,” achieving the status of a US best-seller in 2023.
