Ministry Opens Registration For London Youth Science Forum

Muscat: The Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation has announced that registration is now open for the 66th edition of the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF 2025).

Interested young individuals can register for the forum through the link (https://orp.trc.gov.om/awards/liysf/sub), with registration remaining open until May 6.

The forum is scheduled to take place from July 23 to August 6, 2025, in the United Kingdom. This annual event aims to bring together science-oriented youth from across the globe to share and learn about various cultures and experiences.

The forum's objective is to enhance the visibility of young student researchers and innovators by facilitating their international participation in projects, equipping them with new knowledge and skills in science and its applications, and enabling direct interaction with scientists and experts at the London International Young Scientists Forum.

According to the Ministry, applicants must be aged between 19 and 23, possess a strong interest in scientific disciplines, be enrolled in university studies in fields such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics, actively engage in research projects or scientific competitions, demonstrate social communication skills, represent the Sultanate of Oman in international forums, and not have received support from the Ministry for any competition between 2022 and 2025. Additionally, proficiency in spoken and written English is required.

After the registration period concludes, a specialized committee will review the applications to identify candidates who meet the established criteria.

Selected students will then be invited for a personal interview with the evaluation committee, which will announce the names of those who qualify for participation. -ONA
