Meeting Held To Boost Water, Power Services In Muscat

On Tuesday, the Muscat Governorate conducted a coordinating meeting with the Authority for Public Services Regulation (APSR) and licensed enterprises.

Ahmed Mohammed Al Hamidi, Chairman of the Authority for Public Services Regulation, Muscat Municipality's Chief Executive Officer, and a number of officials and concerned citizens.

The discussion went over the projects and efforts being implemented in Muscat Governorate in the water, drainage, and power sectors. It also mentioned collaboration to improve the quality and efficiency of the services given to the community.

Nama Water Services, Nama Supply, and Nama Electricity Distribution presented their strategies for 2025 and discussed the goals reached in past years.

The discussion highlighted Muscat Governorate's current assets, as well as the coverage of water and drainage networks.

The meeting comprised open conversations among the participating entities about improving services in the energy, water, and drainage sectors, as well as integrating the involved institutions to achieve maximum efficiency while implementing service projects.

This conference is part of the ongoing coordination efforts across government agencies to promote sustainable development goals and stay up with the government's ambitions to improve infrastructure and quality of life in the Sultanate of Oman.
