Musqat: The inaugural joint session of the State Council and the Shura Council is scheduled to take place on Monday, 1st July 2024, marking the commencement of the first annual convening within the 8th term.
Presided over by Sheikh Abdulmalek Abdullah Al Khalili, Chairman of the State Council, and attended by Khalid Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council, the session will deliberate on the reports presented by the joint committees concerning contentious aspects within the proposed legislations of the "Bank Deposits Protection Law," "The Law Regulating Trade in Wildlife," and "Media Law."
The session will culminate in voting on these contentious matters in accordance with the established protocols governing joint sessions between the two councils.
