Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Belgium have expressed their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation in vital economic sectors, including maritime activities, port collaboration, energy transition, and green hydrogen production.
This was conveyed in a joint statement released during His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s state visit to Belgium. The statement notes:
“From December 2 to 4, 2024, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman visited the Kingdom of Belgium at the invitation of His Majesty the King of the Belgians, marking a significant chapter in the enduring friendship and collaboration between Oman and Belgium.
The visit underscores the robust and historical relationship between the two countries, founded on mutual respect, shared values, and a dedication to peace and prosperity, as reaffirmed during the official visit of Their Majesties the King and Queen to Oman in February 2022.
Both the Sultanate of Oman and the Kingdom of Belgium emphasize their desire to enhance bilateral cooperation in essential economic sectors.
