Salalah: The International Scouts Summer Gathering, hosted by the Bousher Sports Club Scout Troop and the Al Batinah Scout Council under the theme "Our Identity Strengthens Our Values," came to a close today at the Permanent Scout Camp located in Jabal Ashur Plain, Dhofar Governorate.
The event was overseen by the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides within the Ministry of Education.
This gathering attracted 200 scouts and leaders from various scout troops throughout the Sultanate of Oman, along with participants from Arab nations and other friendly countries.
The purpose of the event was to enhance scouting and leadership abilities while offering a platform for the exchange of experiences and ideas, as well as reinforcing values tied to national identity.
The multi-day program included a range of activities, such as scouting competitions, workshops, and training sessions, which took place both inside and outside the camp.
During the closing ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed Saif Al Busaidi, Wali of Salalah and the event's patron, presented certificates to the participants and recognized the organizations that contributed to the gathering's success.
