Indian Ambassador Co-Hosts Reception Aboard INS Tir And ICGS Veera In Muscat

Muscat: The esteemed position of Indian Ambassador to Oman, His Excellency Amit Narang, in collaboration with Vice Admiral V. Srinivas, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Southern Naval Command, hosted a reception aboard the Indian Naval Ship (INS) Tir and the Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) Veera. This distinguished event, taking place at Port Sultan Qaboos, was graced by the presence of diplomats, Omani dignitaries, and other notable guests.

First Training Squadron Indian Navy
The reception served as a celebration for the arrival of the Indian Naval Ships Tir and Shardul, as well as the ICGS Veera, which were part of the 1st Training Squadron. These vessels had embarked on a 3-day port visit to Muscat, during which they engaged in joint exercises, training sessions, and professional exchanges with the Royal Navy of Oman. These activities were instrumental in enhancing maritime cooperation between the two countries.

3-day port visit to Muscat
During his tenure in Oman, Vice Admiral V. Srinivas had the opportunity to meet with the military leadership of Oman, including the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman and the Chief of Staff of the Sultan's Armed Forces. These discussions focused on the review of the existing bilateral naval and training cooperation, thereby reinforcing the robust relationship between India and Oman in the realms of defence and maritime security.
