India-Saudi Arabia Strengthen Trade Ties At 2nd Ministerial Meeting Of Economy And Investment Committee

Riyadh: The Union Minister of Piyush Goyal and the Saudi Arabia's Minister of Energy, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud, jointly led the second Ministerial Meeting of the Economy and Investment Committee within the Saudi-India Strategic Partnership Council (SPC).

This gathering, which took place on Wednesday local time, was focused on enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries. It featured a review of achievements under the SPC and discussions on potential future collaborations.

"Led the 2nd Ministerial Meeting of the Economy and Investment Committee under the Saudi-India Strategic Partnership Council (SPC)" mentioned Minister Goyal on his social media account.

During the event, the two heads of state signed the Minutes of the Ministerial Meeting, officially acknowledging the progress in trade and investment relations between their countries.

The ministers recognized the significant progress achieved through the strategic partnership but also stressed the importance of maintaining momentum to fully realize the potential of this collaboration.

They pinpointed key sectors and areas of mutual interest that could benefit from deeper engagement, highlighting their commitment to fostering a sustainable and prosperous future for both economies.

Goyal stated, "We reviewed the progress made under the SPC and identified new areas of cooperation and opportunities to further deepen the trade and investment ties between our nations."

After the principal session, Piyush Goyal also had a meeting with Saudi Arabia's Minister of Investment, H.E. Khalid Al-Falih, to explore specific investment opportunities.

They discussed potential partnerships across various sectors, including pharmaceuticals, automobiles, and petrochemicals, all considered vital for the economic growth and resilience of both countries.

With the increasing global emphasis on diversifying supply chains, these sectors present significant opportunities for joint ventures that could drive economic expansion and stability.

Both parties emphasized the critical role of bilateral meetings like the SPC gatherings in ensuring continuous progress and strengthening bilateral relations.
