Hotel Revenues Rise 10.7% By The End Of April 2024

Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman's 3-5-star hotels generated revenues of OMR93.094 million by the end of April 2024, marking a 10.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

Data released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) revealed that the total number of hotel guests reached 767,900 by April 2024, reflecting a 14.9% growth from the corresponding period in 2023, which saw 668,168 guests.

Simultaneously, the hotel occupancy rate experienced a 7% rise.

According to the NCSI statistics, European guests constituted the largest group, with a total of 262,651 visitors. Omani guests accounted for 241,058 (a 9.6% increase), while Asian guests numbered 109,104 (a 22.5% increase).

The number of guests from GCC countries increased by 7.8% to 47,809, while African guests decreased by 0.8% to 3,826. Additionally, the number of guests from Oceanian countries dropped by 27.9% to 11,488.
