Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a written message from His Excellency President Azali Assoumani, President of the Comoros, concerning bilateral relations between the two friendly nations.
During a meeting today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with His Excellency Mbae Mohamed, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and the President's Special Envoy to the Comoros, the message was received by His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister.
During the meeting, the Comorian Envoy delivered greetings from His Excellency the President of the Union of the Comoros, as well as his best wishes for continued health, well-being, and a long life to His Majesty the Sultan, and for ongoing development and prosperity for the Omani people.
His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs tasked the visitor with expressing His Majesty the Sultan's greetings to His Excellency the President of the Union of the Comoros, as well as His Majesty's best wishes for happiness, continuing success, progress, and prosperity to the brotherly Comorian people.
During the meeting, the two delegations addressed historical ties and friendly collaboration between the Sultanate of Oman and the Union of the Comoros. They talked on methods to deepen economic cooperation, with a focus on food security, transit, and tourism, for the mutual benefit of both friendly nations.
The two parties also addressed a variety of topics and developments of mutual concern, as well as attempts to promote peace, harmony, and the establishment of security and stability around the world.
