HM The Sultan Issues 4 Royal Decrees

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik issued 4 Royal decrees on Sunday, which are as follows:

Royal Decree No. (13/2024) focuses on amending certain provisions of the State of Emergency Law. The amendments specified in this decree will be applicable to the State of Emergency Law established by Royal Decree No. (75/2008).

According to Article (1), the amendments outlined in this decree will be implemented in the State of Emergency Law. 

Article (2) states that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into effect the day after its publication.

Royal Decree No. (14/2024) defines the specializations of the Ministry of Social Development and approves its Organisational Structure.

Article (1) specifies that the specializations of the Ministry of Social Development will be determined in accordance with Annex No. (1) attached to this decree.

Article (2) confirms the Organizational Structure of the Ministry of Social Development as outlined in Annex No. (2) attached to this decree.

Article (3) revokes Royal Decree No. (32/2003) which specified the specializations of the Ministry of Social Development and approved its organizational structure. It also annuls any provisions that are inconsistent with or violate this decree.

Article (4) stipulates that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into effect from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree No. (15/2024) appoints a Permanent Representative for the Sultanate of Oman to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in Rome.

Article (1) designates HH Sayyid Nizar bin Al Julanda bin Majid Al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Italian Republic, as Oman’s Permanent Representative to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations in Rome.

Article (2) specifies that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into effect from the date of its issuance.

Royal Decree No. (16/2024) appoints a Permanent Representative for the Sultanate of Oman to the Digital Cooperation Organization in Riyadh.

Article (1) appoints HH Sayyid Faisal bin Turki bin Mahmoud Al Said, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as Oman’s Permanent Representative to the Digital Cooperation Organization in Riyadh.

Article (2) states that this decree will be published in the Official Gazette and will come into effect from the date of its issuance.
