Muscat: On Tuesday, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Sheikh Mishal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, engaged in an official session of talks at Al Alam Palace.
At the beginning of the session, His Majesty the Sultan extended a warm welcome to Sheikh Mishal, recognizing him as an esteemed guest of the Sultanate of Oman. His Majesty wished Sheikh Mishal and his accompanying delegation a pleasant stay.
In response, Sheikh Mishal expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the gracious welcome and hospitality.
During the session, the leaders discussed the longstanding and exceptional relations between Oman and Kuwait. They explored various avenues of cooperation between the two nations and explored ways to enhance these ties to strengthen the bond between their peoples and achieve greater prosperity, progress, and well-being.
Furthermore, the two leaders addressed a range of topics in light of regional and international developments.
Representing Oman, the official session of talks was attended by HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, HH Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs and Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior (Head of the Mission of Honour), Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office, and Dr. Saleh bin Amir Al Kharousi, Ambassador of Oman to Kuwait.
Meanwhile, the Kuwaiti delegation included Sheikh Mohammed Abdulaziz Al Jarrah Al Sabah, Sheikh Hamad Sabah Al Ahmed Al Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Al Hamoud Al Jaber Al Sabah, Sheikh Athbi Nassir Al Athbi Al Sabah, Sheikh Ali Khalid Al Jaber Al Sabah, Sheikh Mansour Mubarak Abdullah Al Jaber Al Sabah, Sheikh Dr. Bassil Al Hamoud Al Malik Al Sabah, Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Mubarak Al Sabah, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Dr. Imad Mohammad Abdulaziz Al Ateeqi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, Lt. Gen Jamal Mohammed Al Diab.
