Kuwait: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik arrived in Kuwait on Monday for a two-day state visit.
Emir Sheikh Mishaal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah led the welcoming party for His Majesty at the Amiri Airport, extending warm wishes for a pleasant stay in Kuwait to His Majesty and his accompanying delegation.
In addition to the Emir of Kuwait, His Majesty was also greeted by several high-ranking officials, including the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Sheikh Sabah Khalid Hamad Al Sabah (Head of the Mission of Honour), Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah (Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Minister of Interior), Sheikh Mohammed Abdullah Al Mubarak Al Sabah (Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs), Sherida Abdullah Saad Al Maousherji (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Council of Ministers Affairs), Imad Mohammad Al Atiqi (Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil), Abdullah Ali Al Yahya (Minister of Foreign Affairs), Ahmad Fahad Al Fahad (Undersecretary of the Amiri Diwan), Dr. Mohammed Nassir Al Hajri (Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to the Sultanate of Oman), and other senior Kuwaiti officials and members of the Omani Embassy in Kuwait.
Upon arrival, official reception protocols were followed for His Majesty the Sultan. The Royal airplane (Nizwa) was escorted by a fleet of Kuwaiti Air Force until its landing at the Amiri Airport.
At the airport, the Emir of Kuwait personally received His Majesty the Sultan. They then proceeded together, passing through rows of the guard of honor, to the Dais of Honour at the Amiri Hall. The Omani Royal Anthem was played, followed by the Kuwaiti National Anthem, marking the official start of the visit.
Following the inspection of the Guard of Honour by His Majesty the Sultan, a salute was given to him. Subsequently, His Majesty shook hands with the senior members of the Kuwaiti welcoming party. Meanwhile, the Emir of Kuwait greeted the official delegation accompanying His Majesty the Sultan, extending warm wishes for their stay.
The two leaders, His Majesty the Sultan and the Emir of Kuwait, then proceeded to board the motorcade en route to Bayan Palace in Kuwait City.
As the motorcade departed from Amiri Airport, it was escorted by a group of motorcycles. Children lined the streets, waving flags of Oman and Kuwait in a display of friendship and unity. Additionally, helicopters carrying the flags of both nations flew overhead during the ceremony.
Upon reaching Bayan Palace, a 21-gun salute was fired in honor of His Majesty the Sultan, while a group of cavalrymen encircled the parade. Following this, Kuwaiti folklore bands showcased the Ardha, singing songs and reciting poetry to celebrate the esteemed arrival of His Majesty the Sultan.
During the visit, His Majesty the Sultan is accompanied by a distinguished official delegation consisting of prominent individuals. This delegation includes HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, HH Sayyid Bilarab bin Haitham Al Said, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nuamani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, and Dr. Saleh bin Amir Al Kharousi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Kuwait.
