Muscat: Today, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria convened for an official session of bilateral discussions at Al Alam Palace.
At the commencement of the session, His Majesty the Sultan extended his warmest welcome to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and his delegation, expressing his hopes for the success of this visit in furthering the welfare of both nations and their respective populations.
In response, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune conveyed his profound gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty the Sultan for the gracious hospitality extended.
The dialogue covered a range of areas of cooperation, aimed at fostering new opportunities for partnership and investment.
The leaders engaged in discussions on current regional challenges with the primary objective of ensuring security and peace.
The official session of bilateral talks was graced by the presence of representatives from Oman, including HH Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, HH Sayyid Asa'ad bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for International Relations and Cooperation Affairs, Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office, Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat (Head of the Mission of Honour), and Saif bin Nasser Al Bada’ei, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.
Concurrently, the session was attended by representatives from Algeria, including Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Laaziz Faid, Minister of Finance, Mohammed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mines, Kamal Badri, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mohamed Tarek Belaribi, Minister of Housing, Urban Planning and the City, Tayeb Zitouni, Minister of Trade and Exports Promotion, Fazia Dahleb, Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy, and Dr. Mohammed Ali Boughazi, Ambassador of Algeria to Oman.
