Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has received two official communications from President Sadyr Japarov of the Kyrgyz Republic and Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev, focusing on the bilateral relations between their nations.
These messages were presented to Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, the Foreign Minister, during a meeting on Wednesday with Jeenbek Kulubaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, at the Foreign Ministry.
In their discussions, both parties explored the current state of bilateral relations and identified opportunities for enhancement across various sectors of mutual interest, particularly in mining, renewable energy, food security, and investment.
The ministers also reviewed recent regional and international developments, sharing their perspectives on these matters. They emphasized their countries' shared commitment to advocating for peaceful resolutions to conflicts, which would foster security, stability, and promote harmony among nations and peoples.
Additionally, the two sides formalized their cooperation by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting was also attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al Maskari, the Acting Head of the Central Asia Department.
