Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and President Aleksandr Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus convened an official discussion at Al Alam Palace today.
The dialogue focused on the strong ties between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus, examining ways to enhance collaboration and partnership in economic, investment, technological, and medical sectors to benefit both Omani and Belarusian citizens.
Additionally, the two leaders addressed various issues of shared interest and exchanged perspectives on several regional and international developments.
The Omani delegation included HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; HH Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu'mani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Oufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority (Head of the Mission of Honour); and Hamoud Salim Al Tuwaih, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Russian Federation and non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus.
On the Belarusian side, attendees included Viktor Lukashenko, son of the President and President of the Olympic Committee; Maxim Ryzhenkov, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Alexander Efimov, Minister of Industry; Anatoly Linevich, Minister of Agriculture and Food; and Sergei Terentiev, Non-resident Ambassador of Belarus to Oman.
Following this, His Majesty the Sultan and the Belarusian President engaged in a private session.
