Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asaad Al Said, assigned by His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, will be the sponsor of the annual Royal Cavalry horse race. The race is scheduled to take place on Monday, January 22, 2024, in the Wilayat of Ibri, Al Dhahirah Governorate.
Oman News Agency (ONA) reported that His Highness Sayyid Taimur bin Asaad Al Said will be representing His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik in this prestigious event, organized by the Royal Court Affairs and the Royal Cavalry. The race will consist of five rounds specifically for purebred Arabian horses, with the fifth round being the highlight where the Knights will compete for the esteemed title of His Majesty the Sultan's Cup.
Alongside the thrilling races, the event will also showcase Omani arts related to horses and feature equestrian sports performances by both male and female Royal Cavalry riders, accompanied by a diverse selection of musical pieces.
