Health Minister, Governors Discuss Means To Improve Governorates’ Access To Health Services

Dr. Hilal Ali Al Sabti, Minister of Health in Muscat, along with governors from across Oman, convened today for a consultative meeting to deliberate on enhancing cooperation and coordination for the betterment of public welfare. The focus was on streamlining efforts and facilitating local communities' access to essential services, particularly in the health sector, in alignment with global standards.

The discussions also revolved around the Ministry's initiatives to advance healthcare across different regions, promote collaboration among governorates, and explore avenues for sustainable progress in the health domain.

The meeting comprised two sessions. The first session, titled "Future Aspirations and Opportunities," featured a presentation by the Health Minister on the ministry's strategic directions.

In the second session, themed "Sustainable health development, investment, and partnership," three officials from the Ministry of Health shared insights. Dr. Harib Al Lamki, Undersecretary for Health Affairs, shed light on the measures for enhancing health services in governorates. Dr. Ahmed Salim Al Mandhari, Undersecretary for Health Planning and Organization, discussed the Ministry's role in health planning, along with associated challenges and opportunities.

Furthermore, Sulaiman Nasser Al Hiji, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Administrative and Financial Affairs, elaborated on the Ministry's contributions in terms of financial and human resources, emphasizing their sustainability.
