Muscat: In a demonstration of community solidarity and cultural tradition, the Greater Noakhali Wing of the Bangladesh Social Club hosted a special Iftar and Dua gathering in Sohar, expanding the Ramadan festivities beyond Muscat. This event took place on Friday, March 14, 2025, at the poolside deck of the Mercure Hotel, uniting esteemed guests and community members.
The gathering featured Azimul Haque Babul, Vice Chairman of the Bangladesh Social Club, as the chief guest, while Iftekhar Ul Hasan Chowdhury, the Founder and Chief Advisor of the Greater Noakhali Wing, served as the guest of honour.
Solim Uddin Salim, President of the Greater Noakhali Wing, presided over the event, with General Secretary Abu Yusuf acting as the programme host. The Iftar was dedicated to the Noakhali residents residing in the Al Batinah Governorate.
In his address, the chief guest urged attendees to respect Omani laws and regulations while making positive contributions to the community. The event attracted representatives and leaders from various branches of the Bangladesh Social Club, notable community members from Al Batinah, and professionals such as businesspeople, doctors, engineers, and bankers.
The initiative received widespread praise, with participants lauding the Greater Noakhali Wing for its commitment to enhancing community connections and preserving cultural heritage.
