Brussels: The esteemed Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, participated in a formal business dinner organized by European Union (EU) member states in commemoration of the foreign ministers from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. This event served as a prelude to the inaugural GCC-EU Summit, scheduled to commence on Wednesday in Brussels, Belgium.
During the dinner, the ministers engaged in discussions on various aspects of cooperation between the two entities, sharing insights on pressing issues. These included the escalation of military activities in the Middle East, the Palestinian cause and its pivotal role in the pursuit of security, stability, and peace, grounded in international law, as well as the Arab Peace Initiative.
Furthermore, the ministers deliberated on developments related to the conflict concerning Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of efforts towards achieving a ceasefire, adherence to international law, and the consideration of humanitarian and environmental concerns.
