Muscat: The Ministry of Health has entered into a collaboration agreement with Sohar Islamic Bank and Mohammed Al Barwani Foundation (MBF) to finance the development of the interior infrastructure for the Blood Bank Center located at Al Araimi Boulevard, Seeb.
This agreement was formalized by Dr. Badriya Mohsen Al-Rashdi, the Director General of Health Services and Programs at the Ministry of Health, Abdulwahid Mohammed Al-Murshidi, the Chief Islamic Banking Officer at Sohar Islamic, and Iman Mohammed Al-Barwani, the CEO of MB Foundation.
The objective of this initiative is to improve the quality of health services offered by the Blood Bank Services Department, which is currently operational in Bousher. It also aims to expand the reach of the blood donation services by facilitating access for donors residing in the Wilayat of Seeb and its surrounding areas.
The project encompasses an area of 91 square meters within the mall, which will be utilized for various purposes. These include sections for donor registration, pre-donation medical examinations, and check-ups, as well as accommodation for six beds dedicated to blood donation.
