Muscat: Young Omanis are actively working to turn their hobbies and everyday activities into profitable businesses by developing innovative projects that appeal to consumers and marketing them effectively, allowing them to compete in both regional and international markets.
One notable initiative is “Seven Fries,” the first Omani brand dedicated to fresh French fries. Founded by Issa bin Saleh Al Aghbari, this brand was established in the Wilayat of Seeb within the Muscat Governorate in 2021.
Al Aghbari shared that within a span of less than two years, the brand has successfully launched three branches across Muscat and Dhofar Governorates.
He noted that “Seven Fries” was chosen from over 300 Omani brands participating in a franchise program organized by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, leading to a partnership agreement aimed at brand development.
In 2024, he secured the first commercial franchise contract in the Wilayat of Al Amerat in the Muscat Governorate. This year, another franchise agreement was finalized in the Wilayat of Ibri in the Al Dhahirah Governorate. On an international scale, franchise contracts have been established in Erbil, located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and in Islamabad, Pakistan, along with an exclusive contract in India.
He mentioned that the company aims to open 300 branches in India in the near future, recognizing it as one of the largest global markets. Additionally, there are numerous inquiries regarding franchise agreements in international markets, especially in the United States.
