Richard Fish from Oman triumphed in a highly competitive field to claim victory at the Assarain Golf Classic.
The 29th edition of this prestigious tournament took place at the Ghala Golf Club on February 7th and 8th, 2025, attracting approximately 130 golfers.
Expressing his joy, Fish remarked, "The Assarain Golf Classic is an exceptional tournament, and winning such a significant event is truly rewarding. I extend my gratitude to my playing partners over the past few days. It has been a pleasure to participate, and I would also like to thank the Assarain Group of Companies for their sponsorship."
Ahmed Al Farsi, General Manager of Ghala Golf Club and event organizer, noted, "The atmosphere was vibrant from the very first day. I was genuinely impressed by the turnout and the overall spirit of the 2025 Assarain Golf Classic. We had more participants than we could accommodate, necessitating a cutoff, but it was an outstanding event overall."
HH Sayyid Azzan Bin Kais Al Said attended the closing ceremony as the guest of honor, which was attended by numerous dignitaries.
The tournament concluded with its traditional raffle for a Hublot watch, which was awarded to Mubarak Al Hassani. Ibrahim Al Wahaibi, Director of Assarain Group of Companies, commented on the event's success, stating, "I would like to congratulate all the winners in their respective categories and thank all participants. Following the success of the 2025 event, we are dedicated to enhancing the Assarain Golf Classic Tournament in the years to come while upholding our commitment to professional excellence in one of the Sultanate's oldest golf tournaments."
