Ibri: Under the delegation of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, HH Sayyid Taimour bin Asa'ad Al Said presided over the annual horse race of the Royal Cavalry.
The race, exclusively for purebred Arabian horses, took place in the Wilayat of Ibri, Governorate of Al Dhahirah. It was organized by the Royal Court Affairs, represented by the Royal Cavalry.
The race consisted of five rounds, with the final round being a 2000-meter run, which marked the pinnacle of the championship and was won by a horse named Falah.
In the first round (1,200 meters), a she-horse named 'Fatin', ridden by a female jockey named Salsabeel Mohammed Al Mudhaffar, emerged victorious.
The second round (1,200 meters) saw a horse named 'RB Kinsman', ridden by jockey Amer Ali Al Rasbi, claim the victory.
The third round (1,600 meters) witnessed a horse named 'Antares del Mar', guided by jockey Qais Saif Al Busaidi, secure the win.
In the fourth round (1,600 meters), a horse named 'Jathjath', ridden by Amer Ali Al-Rasbi, emerged as the winner.
Throughout the race, equestrian sports performances were showcased during the intervals. These performances, presented by Royal Cavalry riders, were accompanied by musical tunes and showcased Omani folk arts associated with horsemanship.
The race was attended by members of the Royal Family, ministers, members of the State Council, officials, sheikhs, and dignitaries from the Governorate of Al Dhahirah.
